On Trend Tuesday : Embellished Flats

Embellished flats are an excellent way to add a pop of colour or a little texture, and are a perfect 'something extra' that doesn't demand the spotlight.  (Unless you want them to, of course.)  Fabulous when one desires to dress up slacks, embellished flats are an excellent alternative to strutting around in three inch heels all day.  They can dress down a dress or skirt and likewise dress up jeans!  Furthermore, the brightly-colored handbag you covet in this season's most 'now' color?  Forget it. Not in this economy, honey.  Buy a pair of colorful embellished flats instead...without breaking the bank.  A sensible way to incorporate this season's colors into your wardrobe and bring any ensemble up to date, without throwing away too much green.

On Trend Tuesday : Bangles

 

Hotter than they have ever been, bangles of all styles and colors are adorning the wrists of everyone from the Heidi we love to hate to even our nation's First Lady herself.  Mix it up with different colors, widths, and textures!  Though it should go without saying, please go easy on your other adornment ladies, because when you wear too much, it clearly screams 'trying to hard' rather than 'trendy'.

 Later today, I'll be busy running errands for my son's upcoming 'Lego' themed birthday party...  Can we say creative challenge?  I'm very much looking forward to it, although it always astounds me how the years fly by!
