I just wanted to share that I'm posting 14 Days of Valentine Inspiration (which started yesterday) at Chic Your Week, so if you'd like to see something pretty every morning which involves hearts/love/pink/red/Valentine's Day, be sure to bookmark it and check back after 8am CST each day until Valentine's Day for something new!
In other news, today is not only the second day of February, but also the second day of #nwasnow11, if you'd like to follow the conversation hashtag on Twitter. (It's short for Northwest Arkansas Snow Storm 2011.) Yesterday morning, we received a half of an inch of ice and also up to 6ish" of of snow throughout the day. The exact word our news station said was "blizzard"! Are you kidding? In the South? Crazy. Our cities just aren't prepared for weather like that down here!
In northern Michigan, where I spent the early years of my childhood, eveyone had their own snowblower and cities were equiped with snowplows...but not here! In the South, everything shuts down as people stay home and wait for it to melt. (Of course, everyone but the "good ol' boys" with huge pick-up trucks who cruise around town with towing equipment just praying they find someone to pull out of a ditch. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. Finally...something to justify driving around a truck with tires as tall as they are... Ha.
The good news about #nwasnow11 is that I can work remotely. The bad news is that I can work remotely. That being said, I suppose I should hop off of my blog and get back to work!
How is the weather where you are?
