Texture is something I cannot get enough of. I've recently been compiling a mini collection of art to hang collage-style on my Tiffany blue office wall, and I've found that I'm partial to incorporating bits of texture here and there for added visual interest. Doing this also evens out the more color-saturated pieces of art and balances the overall grouping. Why? Due to the texture! For instance, the tones in the photo below aren't dark, but due to texture, the photo still adds it's fair share of visual weight to the area it occupies on the wall. I never really thought about it that way, but you are 100% right! Photos can have texture! I'm glad to have read this post & have a new way of looking at art prints. The ones you chose for your post are amazing!

Great post. I adore abstract photos like this too....in my own photos, I'm always looking for interesting backgrounds like this too.
