Uh, huh. Who couldn't use one of those, right? Lori's Shoes, based out of Chicago, remains one of the well-kept secrets on the web. I simply adore their well-curated collection of shoes and handbags. Here's a selection of my faves for Spring 2009. The wedge? Check. The heeled-gladiator? Check. The embellished? Check. Also, who doesn't love a pop of colour with their pants? I find myself gravitating toward green more than anything else now. (And not just because I'm trying to make my eyes pop, either, although I do sport a lot of green for that reason.) All right- enough rambling; check out the goods:
Ladies, remember if you're going to wear an ankle strap, go NUDE! (Don't get excited- I'm merely talking about the color here.) The color lengthens your legs and doesn't break up off the line of vision like a black or colored strap would. Fun fact.
Lastly, the ONLY reason I like the following pair of shoes is because of the fabulous color-pop they'll bring to an outfit. I prefer to wear wedges of this size with dark-rinse loooong jeans, as the heel is just to chunky and um, 'there' for me not to. I know the wedge is super hot now, but I'm still pretty timeless when it comes to wardrobe choices.
Fun fact #147: If you find a pair of jeans you positively LOVE, buy two lengths: the shorter inseam to wear with a classic flat, and the longer to wear with the sky-high heels we all love so much. Because we all know what happens when we wear flats with long jeans... ~The infamous "hello-I-walked-on-the-backs-of-my-jeans-all-day-wear"... And nothing says poor college student like that. :gasp:
